Johnny started his career as a manufacturing engineer for National Instruments in Austin, Texas. He returned to his hometown of San Antonio and worked as a network administrator for the North Side Independent School District (NISD). Johnny suggested creating an IT course to the Principal of Holmes High School. That lead to a 12 year run as a High School teacher and, most recently, 5 years working for Rackspace, a local cloud company, to help train locals to join the IT workforce. At Rackspace, Johnny developed introductory classes as well as advanced networking and security curriculums. Johnny is currently working for CompTIA as a customer success manager, helping customes get the most from learning courseware.
